Why you'll love The Kitchen Letter

Slow down with a monthly ritual inspired by the seasons.

Each edition is carefully designed to bring together storytelling, cooking and beautiful paper goods that you'll want to keep long after you've finished reading.

What's Inside this Month's Letter -

For all the changes that come with autumn, some things still feel wonderfully familiar.

This issue of The Kitchen Letter lingers over the changing season, from golden leaves and shorter afternoons to the small signs that life has already moved on. Along the way, pumpkin finds its way into the kitchen, bringing its earthy sweetness to something warm from the oven.

Alongside it, cinnamon brings its own familiar warmth: a little spice, a little sweetness, and the scent of autumn in the kitchen.

Together, they offer a reminder that even when everything around us is changing, there are still small things to return to — and familiar ingredients can still surprise us.

THE STORY

At the heart of this issue, a story about the changing season, and the small signs that life is always moving forward.

As the garden turns yellow and orange and the geese disappear from the water, new sounds, colder days, and the first pumpkins begin to find their way into the kitchen.

From a woodpecker tapping somewhere among the trees to a warm loaf of pumpkin banana bread topped with crispy sage and honey, it follows the quiet changes that happen around us — and the ways we often only notice them when we stop to look.

THE PAIRING CARDS

PUMPKIN & CINNAMON

Two ingredients, explored side by side.

This month, the earthy sweetness of pumpkin meets the warm, familiar spice of cinnamon, revealing a pairing that feels deeply autumnal without being quite as predictable as it seems.

Each illustrated card offers a closer look at the character of the ingredient and the flavours it loves to sit beside — little starting points for cooking, experimenting, and finding your own combinations.

THE RECIPE CARD

PUMPKIN BANANA BREAD

This month, pumpkin and banana come together in a soft, golden loaf, with a little honey to bring out their natural sweetness. A familiar kind of baking with an autumn twist — warm from the oven and made for an afternoon in the kitchen.

THE STICKER

The goose has gone spooky.

Our goose has dressed up for October — pumpkin included.
